The meeting was called to order at 6:35 PM by President Vivian Aickelin.

Minutes The April minutes were approved as corrected.

Treasurer’s Report was submitted in absentia by Treasurer Chris Felleter and reflects an available balance of $11,458.69. There are still many field trip and other expenses to be covered.

 Committee Reports

City Wide PTO Report Mrs. Midura: Monday 18^th is the banquet at K of C at 6PM and Mrs. Midura needs a check for $270 to pay for PTO’s guests for this event.  CCPTO is asking all units to update their by-laws and turn them in to the CCPTO during the 2009-2010 year.

 Fundraising- Mrs. Slavin:

Coffee fundraiser has raised $1473 in the first week. Mrs. Slavin proposed ordering some additional cases. PTO authorized Mrs. Slavin to order additional cases as needed.

 Principal’s Report was skipped due to Mr. Karlin’s absence

 Old Business

• Pens were given to all staff for Teacher Appreciation Week from the PTO.
• Bingo for Books is June 2^nd 6-7:30. A summer theme will be used.
• Field trips are going nicely with Kindergarten and fifth grade yet to come. Mrs. Kokoszka thanked PTO for the first grade field trip, and Ms. Aickelin’s students submitted a letter from her class thanking the PTO for their field trip. A packet of letters from second grade room 103 thanking us for the trip to Hitchcock center was also shared. 
• PTO strongly encourages Mr. Karlin to continue to suggest the $2.00 donation from families for field trips as it was very successful this year. Many families donated more than the suggested amount of $2.00.

New Business:
A first grade parent generously made a second donation of $1,000 to the PTO. A thank you will be sent. A meeting regarding how to best spend this money will be scheduled before the end of the year. 

 Mr. Uno will be leaving at the end of the summer for a teaching adventure in India and PTO will recognize him with a gift.  Mr. Ray is also leaving at the end of the summer.  PTO will also give him a gift.

 Mrs. Slavin is taking care of t-shirts for 5^th grade.

Next Meeting -June 9^th at 6:00 and will include installation of officers. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share.
