It is hard to believe that it is already June. Here at Bowe School we are extremely pleased with all of the energy your children have put into their academic work. As we are starting to receive some of our end-of-year testing results, I am proud to announce that there are some very significant results. All results will be available in the fall when the School Improvement Plan has been published.
If for some reason you are not able to join us for summer school, please remember that your child will lose skills that are not practiced. An easy solution for this is to READ, READ, READ. Encourage your child to read. If you would like a list of suggested books, please request one from your child’s teacher. The public library has a wonderful summer reading program as well. When school starts up in the fall, we are hopeful that the Expanded Learning Time (ELT) program will continue. All indications are that it will still be funded by the state. As soon as this is official, we will announce the exact start and end times for the school day. For now, please plan on the times being similar to this year. Many families move over the summer. If you are planning a move, or even changing your telephone number, please do not forget to update us here at Bowe School. Let us know any changes that take place so we can keep our records up to date. With that being said, I want to wish all of our Bowe families a happy summer vacation. I look forward to working with you and your children next fall. |
